This is a photo of the Maryland State College of Agriculture Entrance Register entry for Charlotte Ann Vaux created on November 15, 1916. Charlotte Ann Vaux was born in Buffalo, New York on July 14, 1898. The Entrance Register asked for information regarding her father's name, father's occupation, school attended, last teacher's name , church attended, last pastor's name, and the occupation desired. Vaux took a two-year course in agriculture and received her degree in 1918. The 1918 Reveille yearbook caption states: "Charlotte joined us at the beginning of the second term, 1916-1917. Her home in Washington, D.C. After her career at Prep School in West Virginia she decided to take up the noble art of farming, and for this purpose she entered M.S.C. She has the honor of being the first co-ed to graduate from this institution. Her chief pastime is escorting Wilmer from Class to Class and learning the art of tree surgery under the talented talk of Prof. Beckenstrater."
