The monument at the burial site of General Philip Sheridan in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, circa 1901-1907. Reverse caption reads: "Monument over grave of Gen. Phil Sheridan. A mecca for the thousands of visitors who each year pass through the gates of Arlington is the grave of gallant Gen. Phil Sheridan, the dashing cavalry leader and in many respects the most picturesque figure among the defenders of the Union in the Civil War."
