"Stonewall" Jackson Shrine, Guinea, Virginia, 1945-1970. Caption reads: "'Stonewall' Jackson Shrine, Guinea, Va., a part of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park, Fredericksburg, Va. In this plantation outbuilding the brilliant Confederate General Thomas Jonathan ('Stonewall') Jackson died May 10, 1863. During a visit in 1923, David Lloyd George, World War I prime minister of Great Britain, said: 'That old house witnessed the downfall of the Southern Confederacy.'" Postcard number: 99801.
