A postcard depicting the old slave market in St. Augustine, Florida, circa 1930-1945. The description on the back of the card states, "Located in the Plaza, it faces Matanzas River. A public market house occupied this site from early United States possession of Florida. Boats landed cargoes at a basin in the front of it. Both city and county records show occasional sales of slaves advertised at this market." Postcard numbers: 60882 and 17.
