The Falls of the James River at Richmond begin at the Belt Line Bridge, some distance above the city, and its waters leaping madly over the rocks and dams, and winding and whirling through age worn channels, 'never ending but always descending,' converge and again quietly resume their onward course to sea at a point just above the O.D.S.S.
