He compares them to a boys' game called "lap jackets" which is played by two boys hitting each other with sticks. The last sentence reads: "Imperishable honors await the man who may formulate a plan by which industrial wars may be avoided." Image 3 - Writing by Gabriel Edmonston titled "Hold Ups." Image 4 - Letter from Gabriel Edmonston to an unnamed family member about marking the grave of their ancestor, John Follin, a Revolutionary War soldier. Dated January 26, 1911. Image 5 - Back of Image 4, letter continues. Image 6 - Second page of a letter by Gabriel Edmonston. Letter appears to be about the Irish.
