Independence Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1907. Official souvenir of the Jamestown Exposition, held in Norfolk, Virginia to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the first permanent English settlement in the United States. Caption reads: "Independence Hall, Philadelphia. The scene of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. It was first occupied as the State House of Pennsylvania in October, 1735, and the Constitutional Convention met there in 1787. A replica of this beautiful and historic building has been erected upon the Exposition Grounds as the State Building of Pennsylvania. (See card No. 124)." Postcard number: 123.
