Message reads: "The first mail-card to appear in Waterville is the Colby one before you. The new Chemical Laboroatory is shown in the upper picture. We cannot equal your Swiss cards but hope to improve on this. Behind the Chem. Bldg. the Kennebec is now flowing free from ice- Yours Ever, E.W. Hall" Postmark date: February 16, 1900; Message included.
