Panama Canal Zone trip from December 24, 1923 to January 17, 1924. Photo was taken at the Palace of the President of the Republic of Panama. To Mr. Gompers' right is Dr. South, the American Plenipotentiary to Panama. The white and colored delegations from the the organized labor movement of Panama came to pay their respects and the President asked Mr. Gompers to be photographed with them.
