Governor's Mansion, Richmond, Virginia, circa 1930-1944. Caption reads: "The Governor's Mansion. This official residence of the Chief Executive of Virginia, completed in 1813 (replacing an old two-story wooden structure) is still in use. During 'reconstruction days', when Virginia constituted 'Military District No. One', it was occupied by Gen. Jim Schofield, Military Commander. Here many of the world's notables of the past and present have been entertained." Postcard number: 11477.
