A view of Young's Pier, Atlantic City, New Jersey, circa 1907-1913. Caption reads: "Young's Pier, Atlantic City, N. J. The location of Atlantic City is particularly advantageous for a summer resort by the ocean. It is built upon an island lying five miles out from the mainland, entirely surrounded by salt water. The air at all times bears the invigorating brine of the Atlantic. Still farther out extend the great steel piers, lined with amusement resorts and offering additional coolness."
