A postcard featuring the entrance to Fort Marion in St. Augustine, Florida, circa 1907-1914. Postcard No. 131. Caption reads: "Entrance to Fort Marion. Fort Marion an ancient fortress on the Matanzas River, is an important Spanish relic, formerly known as 'San Marco'. Originally built in 1565, it was destroyed by Sir Francis Drake in 1586, and the present fort was finished in 1756. This view shows the old Spanish coat-of-arms over the door."
