Shot Tower, Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1981-1985. Caption reads: "Built ca. 1794, the house was restored by and is the headquarters of the Women's Civic League. It was the home of Thorowgood Smith, Baltimore's second Mayor and is listed by the National Register of Historic Places. The Shot Tower, built in 1826, 246 feet high, is the last remaining structure of its kind. Behind it is the Main Post Office." The Shot Tower was originally used to make bullets.
