Whitehall, Middletown, Rhode Island, circa 1939-1950. Postcard number: 85707. Caption reads: "Whitehall, Berkeley Avenue, Middletown, R. I. Built in 1729 for George Berkeley, noted British philosopher and Anglican divine. Unusual hipped-roof house with lean-to. Restoration includes furnishings of the period. Open July 1st through Labor Day. Admission 25 cents, also by Colonial Houses strip ticket."
