The Lawn of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, circa 1901-1907. Caption reads: "The Lawn of the University of Virginia is 1,000 feet long by 200 feet wide, and is surrounded by University structures; on the north is the Rotunda, on the south, the Academic Building, while on the east and west are Tuscan arcades connecting the professors' residences. On this lawn, three Presidents, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe, conferred upon the issues of education in Virginia." Postmark date: July 22, 1908; Postcard number: 2388; Message included.
