Thompson-Neely House, Washington Crossing Park, Pennsylvania, circa 1952. Caption reads: "Oldest part built in 1701-02 by John Pidcock, first white settler in this area. Captain James Moore (who died here Christmas Day 1776), Captain Wm. Washington, Lord Stirling, Lt. James Monroe quartered here before Washington's momentous crossing of the Delaware on Christmas night in 1776." Message reads: "Dear Harding - Happy New Year! I was struck down with jaundice the week after your party and just out of the hospital. Hope I will be in circulation by the end of the month. Would like to attend some of the S.A.H. meetings. Such is life! always best to you, Sincerely, Dave." Postmark date: 195?; Message included.
