Caption reads: "The Wire Hardware store (1895), Rockville, Maryland's last unaltered 19th-century commercial building. Drawing by Robert Alan Holmes;" Message reads: "Carol- Thanks for your B&O Train replacement check- I endorsed it to and sent it to Germantown Historical Society. Another unsolved mystery.... Hope to see you & Walt again soon. We are doing wonders at Higgins Cemetery near Twinbrook Metro. Best, Eileen MG." Postmark date: August 21, 1998; Message included.
