Description |
Soldiers' Home, Richmond, Virginia, circa 1907-1910. Message reads: "Dear Mother and Father: Was glad to hear from you- sorry so many are sick, hope all are better. Can hardly realize that Aunt Cinda is gone. Alva is nearly through hauling wood. Is hot and dry, sprinkled a little yesterday, but not enough to do any good. Hard on the corn crop. We are well. Hope to see you both soon. Lovingly, Hattie." Postmark date: August 9, 1910; Postcard number: 211260; Message included.
