Message reads: "Sunday night, Dear Lillie, Nettie wanted me to write to you and tell you to come up and spend the day Tuesday if you get this in time, if not, come Wednesday. We are having lots of rain now. I don't know what day I will go home sometime last of the week I have not been over to Aunt Phebe's yet. She said I must be sure and come. Nettie and I went to the city yesterday. The pears are not grown yet. Mama."
