Caption reads: "This room served the community of Surrattsville as a tavern from 1852 to 1868 and as a U.S. Post Office from 1854 to 1863. The Mary Surratt House is owned and operated by the Maryland - National Capital Park and Planning Commission and is open for tours on a regular basis. For information call (301) 868-1121."
