Seven Pines House at Seven Pines Battlefield, Henrico County, Virginia, circa 1907-1914. Also known as the Battle of Fair Oaks. Caption reads: "A forlorn and silent witness of that Bloody Sunday, June 1st, 1862. While in use as a temporary hospital a fierce onslaught of the opposing force made it the center of the battle zone, and abandonment was necessary. Her bullet-scarred sides mutely testify the location of that terrible day. It is nearly 200 years old." Postcard number: Series A.
