King Street in Alexandria, Virginia, showing Marshall House, circa 1901-1907. Caption reads: "King Street. George Washington aided in surveying the streets of the historic town of Alexandria, of which King Street is the principal one and the business thoroughfare. Here are found some fine types of old Colonial residences, among them the Marshall House, which recalls the tragic circumstances of the killing of Col.
