Two sailors rowing a boat across the Nile River. Materials from the "Photographs, 1864-1953" series from the Brooke Family papers. Description on reverse reads: "'Luxor -- They rowed the boat across the Nile (from the landing in front of our hotel) which we took to see the tombs on west side (Luxor and Karnak on East).' From correspondence collections; folder #41 (item no 2) 1953 Trip by R. B. Farquhar." This photograph was originally part of the "Correspondence, 1815-1954" series from the Brooke Family papers, Box 5, Folder 9, titled "To Mary F. Green and 'Falling Green' -- From Roger Brooke Farquhar, Jr."
